Norman Rockwell Painting of a Ford Model T Touring Automobile On the Farm - Boss of the Road - A Sunday Afternoon Farm Scene, Depicting about 1910, Painted about 1951-1952.

Ford Motor Company, for their 50th anniversary, commissioned Norman Rockwell to make a series of paintings dealing with Henry Ford, the early days of the company and selected members of the Ford Family. Rockwell painted eight during 1951-52, three of which are currently extant in the museumís collection. The titles vary for these three paintings. In November 1952, Rockwell signed an agreement with the company concerning the paintings. He did not give specific titles, but provided a description of each.
